A multi-sensory musical experience featuring music by Coldplay and Ed Sheeran performed under candlelight at the Royal Pavilion.
Candlelight: Coldplay vs Ed Sheeran comes to the Royal Pavilion on Friday 25 September, a multi-sensory concert that puts the songs of Coldplay and Ed Sheeran side by side under candlelight. It's part of the Candlelight series, so the whole thing is performed by live musicians rather than a recording, with the room lit by candles.

The set is split between the two. From Coldplay, you'll hear Clocks, Something Just Like This, Adventure of a Lifetime, Fix You, The Scientist, feelslikeimfallinginlove, Viva La Vida and A Sky Full of Stars. Ed Sheeran takes the other half with Bad Habits, Photograph, Shivers, Perfect and Give Me Love. It's a mix of their better-known songs and a few from different points in their catalogues, and the whole thing runs for 60 minutes.
If you can't make the September date, there are two more runs of the same show: one on Saturday 5 December at 21:00 and another on Friday 13 February 2027, also at 21:00. The September performance starts at 19:00. It's open to anyone over eight, and under-sixteens need to be accompanied by an adult, so it works as a family outing or just a night out for pop fans.
Tickets are £28.00, and seating is first come first served within each zone, so if you've got your heart set on a particular spot, it's worth getting there a bit early. The venue is the Royal Pavilion, 4-5 Pavilion Buildings, Brighton, BN1 1EE.
