Hip-hop artist Everlast returns after an eight-year hiatus with his album 'Embers to Ashes' in an intimate live concert and signing session at Resident Music.
Everlast is back in Brighton on Friday 28 August, playing at Resident Music. It's a live set followed by a signing, so you'll get the performance and then a chance to get your copy signed afterwards. The venue is Resident, the record shop on Kensington Gardens, and this is an intimate one rather than a big stage show.

For those who've followed him, the timing is the main thing here: Everlast is returning after an eight-year hiatus. He's been away from the spotlight for nearly a decade, and this marks his reappearance. He's coming back with a new album, Embers to Ashes, which is what he'll be playing from. The title itself gives you a fair idea of the mood he's working with — it's a return after a long silence, and the set will be built around that new material.
He's a hip-hop artist, and that's the sound he's bringing back to the city. If you've been out of the loop since his last record, Embers to Ashes is the one to get up to speed with before the night. The signing part of the evening means you can bring your copy along and get it signed in person, so it's a double-header of a night: the live show first, then the signing.
It's a paid event, with standard tickets at £14.67. The show runs from 18:30 to 20:30, so it's an early evening one that wraps up well before the night really gets going. Resident Music is at 28 Kensington Gardens, BN1 4AL, and you can reach them on 01273 606312 if you need to check anything before you head down.
