A contemporary art exhibition by Wednesdays Child featuring 14 original works at The Vault on Brighton seafront.
If you are looking for something to do in Brighton this June, there is a new exhibition opening at The Vault Contemporary Art Salon. It is titled Republic of Dogs (and other tomfoolery) and features the work of the artist known as Wednesdays Child. For those who might not be familiar with her, she is a child psychologist by day and a self-taught queer artist named Rosie. Her approach to art is often described as a mix of cartoon therapy, queer folklore, and emotional survival instinct, aiming to be funny and tender while remaining relatable.

This exhibition is notable because it brings together 14 original works for the first time. If you find yourself drawn to the pieces, there will also be giclée prints available for purchase during the run of the show. The venue, The Vault, is located at 42-43 King Roads Arches, right on the seafront, which makes it a fairly accessible spot if you are already planning a walk along the coast.
The exhibition opens on Friday, 5 June, with an evening session from 18:00 to 21:00. If you cannot make it for the opening, the gallery will be open from 10:00 to 18:00 on Saturday 6, Sunday 7, Monday 8, Thursday 11, Friday 12, Saturday 13, and Sunday 14 June. Entry to the exhibition is free, so it is a straightforward option if you want to see some local art without any ticket costs or booking requirements.
