Techno club night with Nina Pixina and ona:v at Patterns, inclusive of FLINTA* and LGBTQIA+ folx.
X-tapes brings two selectors to Patterns on Friday 26 June, with the night kicking off at 23:00. It's a techno bill that puts the dancefloor first, and the two names on it bring quite different flavours to the same room.

Nina Pixina is a London resident and co-curator of Bluparti, and her sets lean towards the ethereal side of techno, with trance-influenced melodies and groovy rhythms. She's played at FOLD, Drumsheds, The Cause and Venue MOT, so she's well-versed in the kind of rooms that run late into the night.
ona:v is a DJ, producer and founder of EPiKA, known for dark, groovier techno. She's shared stages with ANNE, Slam, Ben Klock, FJAAK and Randomer, and she's taking a proper extended set here โ two hours to work through, rather than a quick turn. Between the two, you've got the melodic, airy side of the sound and the darker, heavier end, both within the same night.
There's a clear stance on who this is for, too: X-tapes puts FLINTA* and LGBTQIA+ folx first, welcoming all genders and expressions with respect, openness and care. They don't tolerate transphobia, racism, homophobia, sexism, ableism, harassment, violence or oppression. It's a night that makes its space explicit, so you know where you stand before you even walk through the door.
Patterns is at 10 Marine Parade, BN2 1TL, and the night starts at 23:00, with standard tickets at ยฃ10.23.
