Novotel York Centre is running a series of Wednesday night BBQs this summer on its Riverside Terrace, which they've dubbed the Hump Day BBQ. The name gives away the timing: it's a mid-week thing, so if you're after something to break up the working week, this is it. The setup is straightforward — grilled food served out on the terrace, with the river running right alongside.

It's an outdoor affair, so it works best when the weather plays ball.
