The plot centres on the most anticipated wedding of the season: Lord Percy is marrying his fiancée, Frances, in a celebration organised by her aunt, the Countess. It's all going according to plan until the wedding breakfast, when the festivities are cut short by the discovery of a body. From there, the celebration turns into a crime scene, and the guests are left to figure out who among them is responsible.
It's a murder mystery dinner, so you'll be eating while the story unfolds around you, rather than just sitting in a theatre. The 1920s setting gives you a bit of a theme to lean into if you fancy it, and the whole thing is aimed at adults with an interest in mystery and live theatre. It's not a family event, so leave the kids at home for this one.
Tickets are £75 per person, and you can book them through Eventbrite. If you're coming from further afield, the hotel offers a 15% discount on accommodation for attendees, which you can sort by calling 01752 344455. The venue is Boringdon Hall Hotel and Spa, Boringdon Hill, Colebrook, Plymouth, PL7 4DP, and the night runs from 19:00 to 23:00 on Friday 26 June.
