Pop-up screening of the psychological thriller-horror Saw (2004) with popcorn and a limited edition poster, followed by drinks and discussion.
Wilful Beer is hosting a pop-up screening of Saw (2004) on Wednesday 8 July, as part of the Plymouth Culture programme. It's a psychological horror that's hard to mistake: two men wake up chained to opposite sides of a dead body, with instructions to kill each other, escape, or face the consequences. They're the last two left in Jigsaw's games, and the whole thing is a slow-burn puzzle that keeps you guessing until the end.

The night is set up for more than just the film. Doors open at 18:30 and the screening starts at 19:30, and once the credits roll, you can stick around for a drink and a chat about it. It's aimed at an adult, cinephile crowd — people who enjoy horror and a bit of arthouse cinema, and who'd rather talk through a film with others than just head home as soon as it's over.
There are a couple of extras to take home, too. Your ticket gets you popcorn for the movie and a limited-edition Saw X Eek! poster by a local artist, so you'll leave with something on the wall to remember the night by. It's a paid event, with tickets sold through eekfilmclub.co.uk.
So, if you're into horror and fancy a mid-week night out with a bit of a social side to it, that's the one. Saw (2004) at Wilful Beer, 91 Mutley Plain, PL4 6JJ, on Wednesday 8 July. Doors open at 18:30; film starts at 19:30.
