An audition workshop led by West End and Broadway performer Tim Quinlan for adults, part of The Barn Studio Theatre Open Weekend.
Tim Quinlan is running an audition workshop for adults at The Barn Studio Theatre on Sunday 28 June, from 10:00 to 12:00. He's a West End and Broadway performer, so he knows exactly what happens on the other side of the table, and he's bringing that experience to the session under the title Auditioning is a Science.

The workshop is part of The Barn Studio Theatre Open Weekend, a whole weekend of events celebrating the centenary of the Portsmouth Players. They're the oldest theatre company in the city, and they've been putting on shows since their debut in 1927 with The Gondoliers. Since then, they've worked their way through a long list of classics and contemporary musicals, so this anniversary is a proper milestone for them.
If you're around for the rest of the open weekend, there's plenty more to see. There are musical theatre dance workshops starting from £7.50, costume exhibitions, and access to the company's 100-year archive, alongside live performances. It's a good chance to get a look at how the company has run over a century of local theatre.
As for the audition workshop itself, it's aimed at adults interested in theatre and acting, and it's free to attend. You'll find The Barn Studio Theatre in Milton Park, Milton Road, Portsmouth, PO4 8PR. It runs from 10:00 to 12:00 on Sunday 28 June.
