The Big Finish comes to THOR'S on Sunday 16 August, with local bands and artists taking the stage from 15:30 to 17:30. It's a two-hour afternoon session of live music, and it's all happening inside the tipi on Parliament Street, right in the heart of York.

If you've been to THOR'S before, you'll know the setup: it's a summer pop-up bar, so the whole thing is under canvas. The music goes on under a big disco ball, which sets the tone for the afternoon — it's as much about the drinks and the dancing as it is about the bands. The plan is simple: local musicians on the stage, a cold pint in hand, and enough room to move if the set takes you that way. It's the kind of gig that works just as well if you're there to listen as if you're there to dance.
This isn't a one-off, either. THOR'S runs live music every Thursday and Sunday, so this is part of their regular weekly line-up rather than a standalone event. The Big Finish is just one of the slots they fill throughout the summer, and it follows the same format as the other sessions they host under the tipi.
Practicalities are easy. It's a bar gig, so there's no ticket to book in advance — you just turn up and pay for what you drink. The tipi is dog-friendly and kids are welcome, so it's a fairly easy one to bring the whole lot along to. The music runs from 15:30 to 17:30 on Sunday 16 August, at THOR'S on Parliament Street.
