A musical jukebox show celebrating the hits of the 1950s and 1960s, featuring The Overtones, Nadiya Bychkova and Louis Smith with energetic dance routines.
Jukebox Idols comes to the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Saturday 4 July, a musical jukebox show that celebrates the hits of the 1950s and 60s. It's from the creators of the West End show Rip It Up 60s, and they describe it as a night to swing, bop, jive and rock ‘n’ roll while revisiting the songs that played on jukeboxes around the world. The set covers a wide stretch of that era, from the smooth sounds of Nat King Cole through to the energy of rock ‘n’ roll and the rhythms of Motown, with dance routines woven throughout.

The line-up brings together a few familiar names. The Overtones, the UK's platinum-selling vocal harmony group, take the lead on the singing, joined by Nadiya Bychkova, a professional dancer from Strictly Come Dancing, and Louis Smith MBE, an Olympic gymnast and Strictly champion. They're backed by a full company of dancers, so there's as much choreography on stage as there is singing.
Doors open at 19:00, with the first act running from 19:30 to 20:15. There's a twenty-minute interval until 20:35, and the second act takes you through to about 22:00. Tickets start at £31.75. If you're going to want more than just the show, there's a Meet and Greet Pass you can add, though you'll need to buy a ticket first. That gets you a VIP lanyard, a photo with the performers taken on your own phone, a tote bag and the show programme.
