A family-friendly pantomime of Aladdin packed with comedy, dance and dazzling staging, performed at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre.
Aladdin opens at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Saturday 5 December 2026 and runs through to the New Year, with the final performance on Sunday 3 January 2027. It's a family panto, so it's built for all ages: the story follows a humble young man who finds a magic lamp and sets off on a journey of danger, love and plenty of laughs. The production is described as a family experience full of humour, magic and surprises, with big sets, lighting and high-energy choreography.

There are some familiar faces in the cast. James Cartwright, known as Theo Silverton from Coronation Street, takes on the villain Abanazar, and Jamie Steen plays the widow Twankey. Noel Brodie returns as Wishee Washee, his twelfth consecutive year in the role, so he's a bit of a fixture of the Bournemouth panto scene. Between the three of them, you've got the pantomime basics covered: the villain to boo, the comic relief, and a returning favourite.
It's a long run, with daily shows at different times throughout the morning, afternoon and evening, though there are breaks for Christmas and New Year. If you're taking a school or youth group, there are specific morning performances at 10:30 am on 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 December, and on 5, 6, 13 December and 2 January. There are also two adapted performances: a Relaxed show on Wednesday 30 December and a Captioned one on Monday 21 December.
Tickets start from £18. There are a few ways to bring the price down: 'Friends & Family Saver' and groups of six or more get £3 off in zones A and B, except from 19 December to 1 January. Groups of 20 or more get £4 off and one free ticket for every 20 booked, and groups of 50 or more get £4 off plus a free ice cream per person, also excluding 19 December to 1 January. Under-16s get £5 off in zones A, B and C, except from 19 December to 1 January. For schools and youth groups, there's £2 off if you book by 30 September 2026, with groups of ten or more paying £23.25 per ticket, and groups of 50 or more getting free ice creams and complimentary tickets for staff or group leaders.
