Hackett was the guitarist for Genesis from 1971 to 1977, and this show looks back at that era with tracks from Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. He balances those with pieces from his solo catalogue, from early records like Voyage of the Acolyte and Spectral Mornings through to later work like At the Edge of Light and Surrender of Silence. He describes the show as a balance between electric intensity and acoustic delicacy.
He's backed by a long-standing band: Jonas Reingold on bass, guitar and backing vocals; Rob Townsend on saxophone, flutes, additional keyboards and backing vocals; Nad Sylvan on vocals; Lalle Larsson on keyboards; and Felix Lehrmann on drums. Amanda Lehmann, on vocals and guitar, joins as a special guest on some of the UK dates.
Tickets are £58.50 and are sold online through Ticketmaster UK. The show starts at 7:45pm at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre, Westover Road, BH1 2BU.
