Interactive children's show featuring Blippi and Meekah, with music and surprises for families.
Blippi and Meekah are coming to York Barbican on Saturday 5 September as part of the Be Like Blippi Tour, an interactive children's show performed live on stage. Blippi and Meekah are played by professional theatre performers selected for the tour, so it's a stage production rather than a screen experience. The whole thing is built around getting kids to move, play and explore just like Blippi does in the videos.

It's a high-energy show with music and surprises throughout, and the set includes some of the songs kids will recognise: The Excavator Song, Monster Truck, Dino Dance and Curious Like Me. The interactive side is a big part of it, so expect the little ones to be up and about rather than just sitting still. It's a family show, and anyone under 14 has to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
There are two performances on the day, one at 13:00 and another at 16:00, so you can pick the time that works best for your family. It's a ticketed event, and there's a booking fee on top of the ticket price. If you're keen on a photo, there's a separate Photo Experience you can add on to get a picture with Blippi, and the accompanying adults don't need their own ticket for that part. You'll need to book in advance, and the two showtimes are 13:00 and 16:00 at York Barbican on Saturday 5 September.
