Breakdown describes the work as an exploration of love, restriction, freedom, pain, growth and collapse. It's built around the idea of a sanctuary for marginalised cultures, and it draws on the history of the building itself — God's House Tower once served as a Bridewell, a house of correction, so the themes of confinement and repair sit right in the space. The exhibition looks at alternative routes through time, reimagining the past and speculating about the future.
The opening night was on Friday 5 June, starting at 18:00, with a talk at 19:00 featuring Mia Delve and a reading by the artist. If you missed that, the exhibition is still open for visitors to walk through at their own pace. Admission is free, and it runs until 27 July.
