A comedy about astronomer Katharine Hilbery set in London in 1910, exploring science, technology and the decline of the Edwardian patriarchy.
Virginia Woolf's Night & Day opens at Harbour Lights Picturehouse on Saturday 27 June, with screenings running through to 9 July. It's a 95-minute comedy set in London in 1910, and the lead is Katharine Hilbery, an astronomer who spends her time trying to avoid romantic love and marriage. The story works its way through the scientific and technological shifts of the era and the slow decline of the Edwardian patriarchy, so it's as much about the world around her as it is about her own life.
