Stand-up comedy, storytelling and live music show by Jinkx Monsoon, marking her first solo UK tour since 2022.
Jinkx Monsoon brings Speaking of Witch to York Barbican on Friday 10 July, her first solo UK tour since 2022. It's a one-woman show that mixes stand-up comedy, storytelling and live music, and Jinkx wrote and directed the whole thing herself.

On the music side, she's backed by her band, Major Scales & The Badlings, who play in a grunge piano bar style. The set pulls from a few different places: she covers Laufey, Madeline and Sparks, and mixes in new songs from her upcoming EP. So you'll get some familiar names alongside material that hasn't been released yet.
If you're not already familiar with her, Jinkx is a Tony Award winner whom RuPaul called the 'Queen of all Queens'. Speaking of Witch is part of a wider UK tour that runs from 3 to 16 July, with stops in Brighton, Cambridge, Cardiff, Bristol, Nottingham, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Glasgow. York is one of those dates.
The show starts at 19:30 and is strictly for over-18s. Tickets are on sale now, with a booking fee on top. There's also a VIP option that gets you a premium seat, a pre-show meet-and-greet, a photo with Jinkx and a signed poster.
