The UK's premier Black Sabbath tribute band performs live at The Lens Studio in Portsmouth.
Sabbra Cadabra play The Lens Studio on Friday 18 September, bringing their Black Sabbath tribute to Portsmouth. They're the UK's leading act for the band, and they've built their name on staying close to the original sound rather than putting their own spin on it. The set draws from the Ozzy Osbourne era, and they don't stop there — they pull in his solo classics too, so you'll get the heavy riffs and the big anthems from both sides of his career.

It's a tribute with some genuine pedigree behind it. The BBC has praised them, and Black Sabbath's first manager, Jim Simpson, called them 'the finest Sabbath tribute'. They've also got the nod from the source: back in 2019, they played for Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, two of the original members themselves. If you're into the heavy, slow-burn side of rock, that's exactly what they're bringing to the stage.
On the practical side, the gig is at The Lens Studio, which sits inside the Portsmouth Guildhall. It starts at 19:30, and tickets are £17.95 — that price includes a 13% booking fee and a restoration levy that goes on every event at the Guildhall. It's open to all ages, though anyone under 14 needs to be with an adult over 18. If you've got a The Lens Studio Student Pass, the concert is included in that.
A few things to keep in mind before you head in: cameras and tablets aren't allowed, and you can't bring your own food or drink, unless it's for medical reasons — in which case, check the house rules first. If you're driving, there are discounted parking tickets available online or at the box office. You can also add dinner or hospitality packages to your booking and pre-order drinks, so you've got a few options for how you want to spend the evening.
